Documentation Centre (CDOC)
The Hegoa Institute's Documentation Centre (CDOC) provides specialised documentation and information services on international cooperation and development areas. It has numerous resources, including the Digital Library with over 21,000 bibliographic records.
The Documentation Centre (CDOC) was established in 1998 and has since collected the main contributions regarding the analysis of and debates on international cooperation and development. Its resources have underpinned the Hegoa Institute's training programmes, specialist research through its working groups and the dissemination of the areas, both within academia and to stakeholders.
The CDOC services have progressively adapted to the changes generated by the new information and documentation technologies, and most are available digitally. The Digital Library, for example, not only offers downloadable files in PDF format (those that are open access), but all the records also include a thematic classification based on content analysis and supported by a thematic thesaurus produced by the library.
The CDOC has been a cornerstone in the Hegoa Institute's research and teaching development, as well as playing a key role in the configuration of the international cooperation world in the Basque Autonomous Community. It also has an important international and state outreach and has becoming a leading resource centre in the Spanish language.
