The Hegoa Master's Degrees

The range of Hegoa Institute master's degrees is interdisciplinary and falls within Development Studies. Hegoa has two official master's degrees adapted to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and an own qualification awarded by the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU). The main aim of the studies is for the students to specialise in their research and academic education and in their professional skills.

All the post-graduate studies offered by the Hegoa Institute and the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU) are taught by academic staff with extensive experience and a proven track record in the different areas, from the university and from cooperation organisations and institutions.

The Official Master's Degree in Globalisation and Development is aimed at professional and research training. Its focus is to study the relations between the globalisation phenomenon and development processes.

Credits: 60 ECTS

The Official Master's Degree in Development and International Cooperation is aimed at professional training in international cooperation and underpinned by the principles of equity, fighting poverty, human development and sustainability.

Credits: 60 ECTS

The Master's Degree in Lifelong Learning in International Cooperation and Emancipatory Education (online) is a university-accredited qualification of the UPV/EHU, aimed at those students who cannot follow an on-site programme. It is aimed at improving the professional skills of individuals linked to cooperation and/or education, and those linked to other fields of social action.
